Andrea Bocelli has landed his first chart-topping album in the UK with ‘Si’, the first classical album to hit Number 1 in almost 21 years. ‘Si’ includes collaborations of Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa and the artist’s own son.
It is the first classical album that achieves the number #1 since the soundtrack of ‘Titanic’ (1998). In addition, Bocelli is the first classical vocalist to lead the list since ‘The Three Tenors in Concert’ by Luciano Pavarotti, Jose Carreras and Placido Domingo reached number 1 in 1996.
