Daft Punk has decided to put an end to their career as a duo after almost three decades of career.
Through a video posted on their YouTube channel, the group formed by Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo has communicated to their followers the end of an era after 28 years of career. It is an excerpt from their 2006 film ‘Electroma‘, which has now been rescued as an epilogue.
Daft Punk originated in 1993 but it was really in 1997 when they started their international success after the release of their first album ‘Homework‘, which included singles like ‘Around the World’ or ‘Da Funk‘ and with which they already became internationally known with their recognizable helmets.
Subsequently, the duo continued to triumph with albums like ‘Discovery‘ (2001), ‘Human After All’ (2005), or ‘Random Access Memories‘ (2012), with which they won four Grammy Awards, one of them for Album of the Year.
In their 28 years of career, the duo has achieved great hits such as ‘Get Lucky’, ‘One More Time’, ‘Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger’ or ‘Around the World’, besides having inspired great artists of the international dance and pop scene of the last decades.
