After a 14-year career, Nicki Minaj recently scored her first solo No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with the track ‘Super Freaky Girl’, also her first top 3 as a solo artist since ‘Anaconda‘ in 2014. Nicki thus became the first female rapper to debut at #1 on the Hot 100 with a solo single since Lauren Hill in 1998.
‘Super Freaky Girl’ is the third No. 1 for Nicki Minaj following ‘Trollz’ alongside 6ix9ine, and her appearance on Doja Cat’s ‘Say So’, both in 2020. In addition, ‘Super Freaky Girl’ marked her 124th entry on the Hot 100 for Nicki Minaj and her 21st top 10.
This song appears on Nicki Minaj’s first hits compilation, ‘Queen Radio: Volume 1’, which was released to coincide with the rapper’s participation in the MTV Video Music Awards 2022 where she received the honorary Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
Following the promotion of the track ‘Super Freaky Girl‘, the rapper now releases its corresponding official music video, in which Nicki moves to a pink world full of eroticism under the direction of Joseph Kahn.
