The Kelly Clarkson Show aired its final episode on 31 August after seven seasons. The show, a multiple Emmy winner with a loyal audience throughout its run, closed with an episode titled ‘By Request‘ structured as a greatest hits concert. The standout viral moment of the night was the Kellyoke cover of ‘Golden‘, the Grammy and Oscar-winning song from the film ‘KPop Demon Hunters‘, announced by the show’s team as the most-requested Kellyoke in its entire history, out of more than 1,000 covers performed.
Clarkson delivered the song in its original key without falsetto — a genuinely demanding feat even for the song’s original performer. Executive producer Alex Duda revealed that the entire episode was built around that performance: «We knew it would be uplifting, not sad. It would basically be a Kelly Clarkson concert». The rest of the episode featured covers of her own classics — ‘Since U Been Gone‘ and ‘Stronger‘ — the TV debut of her new single ‘I’d Be Lyin’‘, and an on-stage appearance from her children River Rose (aged 12) and Remington Alexander (aged 10).
Clarkson announced the show’s end in February, months after the death of her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock in August 2025 following a battle with cancer, saying she wanted to put her children first: «Stepping away from the daily grind will allow me to put my kids first, which feels necessary and right for this new chapter of our lives».
