Just a week ago, ROSALÍA set the Internet ablaze by announcing the upcoming release of her long-awaited fourth studio album, titled ‘LUX’, due out on Friday, November 7.
Before the official announcement, the artist had already sparked fans’ curiosity by sharing the sheet music for one of the album’s tracks, ‘Berghain’. From that moment, hundreds of musicians began uploading their own interpretations, imagining how the new song might sound.
Now the mystery is over — ‘Berghain’ is officially out as of Monday, October 27. The track is an experimental composition performed in Spanish, German, and English. According to Sony Music, ‘Berghain’ is the major orchestral piece that forms the second movement of LUX — an operatic journey through language and emotion featuring Björk and Yves Tumor.
The music video, produced by CANADA and directed by Nicolás Méndez — a frequent ROSALÍA collaborator behind clips like ‘Malamente’, ‘TKN’ and ‘Pienso En Tu Mirá’ — was shot in Warsaw, Poland. It follows a woman navigating grief as she tries to mend her broken heart, ultimately finding peace and healing through spirituality.
